Contrary to the title, this isn't rooting for an Ohio sports team but rather thanks to a privacy win from the Ohio supreme court. According to this article at Gizmodo, their supreme court ruled that a search of a cell phone without a warrant is illegal. Considering the circumstances of the individual in question, it probably wouldn't have been that hard to obtain one, but the point is, the police didn't, and the court slapped them on the wrist.
