This Kid's Gonna Be Hell on Wheels

It is disheartening to see someone stricken with an illness like spina bifida. What's worse is when that affliction slows down a toddler. Now, the cool part... researchers at the University of Delaware are constructing robots with remote control to help little ones get accustomed to using a scooter to get around. Once they get accustomed to driving around they can graduate to a pint-sized scooter sans robotic assistance. It's awesome to know people are working on stuff like this. It would be better to know this was covered by a HMO or... gasp... Medicare. READ ON.
