You idiots at GM are still finding new ways to run off your customers. Before I rant, let's do a quick recap. At the reins of the "New GM," Fritz Henderson cans the Pontiac division which effective kills one of the best recent GM vehicles, the G8. A glimmer of hope came when GM's marketing guy, Bob Lutz, said the G8 would live on as a Chevrolet. Alas, he got bitch-slapped by Fritz Henderson who said this wasn't the case.In true flip-flop fashion the king of GM, Henderson, is heavily marketing the G8 as a rebranded fleet vehicle for law enforcement only. According to Australia's The Motor Report, a specially prepared Holden Commodore (the Australian G8), which is already sold as a Chevrolet in other countries, is being evaluated by several law enforcement agencies as a shortlisted replacement for the aging Crown Victoria. To add insult to injury, it would be sold as a Chevrolet in the US and would not be available for direct sale to American consumers. That sounds like it won't piss anyone off. Man, I'm glad taxpayers didn't put up any bailout money for this kind of crappy treatment... oh, wait.
