Finally, an article entitled, "Scientists Create Nanotech Memory That Holds Data for a Billion Years," describes how nanotube technology can theoretically store a bit for a billion years. The caveat is that at this scale reading the data may degrade it... doh! Hey, if they can make it work then awesome.
