On the bright side, if you happen to be in one of these places, know that folks at the University of Sussex are developing non-contact electric potential sensors (EPS). If things go well, these could pave the path for ECG's and EEG's from up to a meter away. Oh, it could also revolutionize MRI technology too. That sounds like win in my book.
